Evidence-based Resource to Guide the Prevention of Violence Against Women and Girls with Disabilities
Women with Disabilities Victoria and Our Watch have developed a new resource called Changing the Landscape - a national, evidence-based resource to guide the prevention of violence against women and girls with disabilities, The resource names ableism and gender ininequality as the two consistent, intersecting drivers of violence against women and girls and sets out actions to address these drivers and sstop the violence before it starts. First Nations Gender Justice and Equality in Australia
The Australian Human Rights Commission has launched Yajilarra nhingi, mindija warrma (from dreams, let's make it reality), a beautiful animation which tells the story of First Nations women's voices. The animation builds on the landmark Wiyi Yani U Thangani Report and project led by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Justice Commissioner, June Oscar AO. Posted December 2021.
