Understanding Economic and Financial Abuse and Older People in the Context of Domestic and Family Violence
The Gendered Violence Research Network has released the fifth and final report in a series of evidence reviews planned under the partnership between the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) and the University of New South Wales Gendered Violence Research Network (GVRN). The report is a collection of current evidence on financial and emotional abuse of older people and gaps in existing knowledge. Posted August 2022.

How Online Abuse Impacts Women in Their Working Lives
The eSafetyCommissioner has released a report highlighting women's lived experiences of online abuse, and points to the need for greater action by online platforms and employers to prevent and respond to abuse. Services Australia are now offering video chat appointments to speak with one of their Financial Information Service Officers. This is a free service that can inform and educate about financial matters including debt collection, child care subsidies, pandemic leave disaster payments and other community resources. Harmony Alliance has developed a free 'Financial Literacy for Women' course to support migrant and refugee women to manage their money while living in Australia.
