MARAM and the Information Sharing Schemes
Overview
Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management Framework (MARAM)
MARAM sets out the responsibilities of different workforces in identifying, assessing and managing family violence risk across the family violence and broader service system. MARAM will guide information sharing under both information sharing schemes wherever family violence is present. Find more information on the MARAM framework.
Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme (FVISS)
FVISS enables authorised organisations and services to share information to facilitate assessment and management of family violence risk to children and adults. Find more information on family violence information sharing.

No to Violence and other key peak bodies and stakeholders have been working with Family Safety Victoria regarding the release of the MARAM Comprehensive Perpetrator Practice Guides. These guides will not be published online to mitigate the risk of their detailed information being accessed and misused by people using violence. Alternatively, there is a targeted and direct distribution currently underway. No to Violence has emailed the Practice Guides directly to Senior Managers and CEO's of specialist perpetrator funded agencies and will conduct a briefing with specialist practitioners from these identified organisations in late May.
